Halcyon Agent
Overview:
Users are unable to open the start menu after installing the Halcyon Agent to a Windows endpoint.
Solution:
Some users reporting this issue were found to have the HP Wolf security suite installed. While we have not seen reports of conflicts between Halcyon Agent and the HP Wolf Security suite, we recommend excluding the following Halcyon files and processes from 3rd-party scanning:
- C:\Program Files\Halcyon\HalcyonAR
- C:\ProgramData\Halcyon\HalcyonAR
If a 3rd-party tool performs application hooking, exclude hooking into the following:
- C:\Windows\System32\hlcnuser.dll
- C:\Program Files\Halcyon\HalcyonAR\halcyonUI.exe
- C:\Program Files\Halcyon\HalcyonAR\agent.exe
If issues persist despite these exclusions, disable or uninstall HP Wolf and contact their support for additional assistance.
